The Bible Literally Says: The Lord Hates
I am in the middle of reading all the Proverbs again and this year 6:16-19 stood out.
“There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.”

It stuck out to me because so often everyone talks about love, kindness, compassion, hope, etc. Yet here in the word of God is "the LORD hates".
Now if I look out across the landscape of news and internet media... do I see anything while thinking about this verse?
“There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes,
- Arrogant, superiority, condescending...
a lying tongue,
- Gaslighting, manipulating, lying, deceiving...
and hands that shed innocent blood,
- Murder, rape, human trafficking, child genital mutilation...
a heart that devises wicked plans,
- Schemes for money and power and violence...
feet that make haste to run to evil,
- Ravenous audiences hanging on every word of their media personality or "influencer"...
a false witness who breathes out lies,
- People who care more about activism than safety and justice...
and one who sows discord among brothers.”
- So many news and media people making profit from spreading division and hatred between left and right, men and women, atheists and religious...
When you stop for a moment, breathe in a deep breath and connect the dots. Connect what's actually happening in front of your own eyes with the word of God... You see all these events differently. Not just as social problems, not as political differences. But as how The Lord sees them. He hates them.
