You know who my favorite people are? The one's who have made huge mistakes. The one's who have done stupid things. The one's who said "I messed up."

While I can obviously relate to them, because I have a laundry list of my own mistakes, my own stupid decisions, my own mess ups. That's not why they are my favorite people.

They are my favorite people because they have the capacity to be patient, to be loving, to be compassionate, to be understanding and most of all to be the least judgmental.

Those who have made mistakes, understand mistakes are made.

Those who have fallen, know what it's like to scrape your knees.

Those who have made stupid decisions, know what stupid decisions feel like afterwards.

And what happens when someone who has dug out from their mistakes then talks to other people? They have patience, understanding, compassion, and no judgement.

When you've admitted your own mistakes, truly admitted to them to The Lord and to the important people in your life, you find freedom and new life.

The healing inside you allows you to be a healing force in others. And that is an amazing thing.

And, that recovery process also does something remarkable. The people who dig out from big bad things are usually more faithful in every aspect of their life. Because they know the cost, the damage, and the aftermath of mistakes.

So don't be weary of the ones who have made huge mistakes and walked out of them. They are often the most amazing people you will ever meet.
