Ever Notice It's About Heart And Faith, Not Knowledge?

It struck me that the Lord so often praises people for their heart like him, for their faith. But not so much for their book knowledge.

Now that's not to say he doesn't value the scriptures, because Jesus certainly talked knowing and respecting the scriptures. Because... you know... the scriptures are the word of The Lord. His Father.

Yet if you walk around or surf around on the net you usually get a metaphorical baseball bat to the face from people who "have studied".

Why is that?

Well much of it is just human nature since we ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge........

Hmmm.... I wonder... Is there something to that? Something that no one talks about?

Did eating from the fruit of the tree of knowledge create or fuel our unending desire to gather knowledge, and our sin nature has us wield that knowledge as a bat against our fellow man?

Makes you wonder. Will be praying for understanding on this.
