What If You’re Missing 99% Of Life

We all live each day taking care of business, doing what we need to do for the day. Whether that's working at a job, raising kids, taking care of the house, serving, or anything else.

But what if we're missing out on 99% of life doing those things?

Now that "99%" might ruffle some feathers. But it's meant to be a jarring number. Not necessarily literal.

What if we don't realize we are missing out on huge parts of human life and we don't realize it? I mean... how could you? The old saying is:

I don't know what I don't know

Searching through that phrase over the decades I am suddenly found with a question.

What if we're missing 99% of life?

By not reading The Words every day

By not listening to a shepherd every week

By not talking to The Lord every day. Like actually having a conversation with Him.

By not tolerating The Lord trying to pry open your heart to show you something... because you don't want to admit the truth

What if we're missing out on a lot of life, because we're too busy "doing what we need to do" to even realize we're missing out.

There once was 2 woman at a house with Jesus. One was focused on preparing the meal for the guests... "doing what needed to be done". The other was at the feet of Jesus listening.

And The Lord of the universe said that the one sitting and listening to Him was correct...
